Georgian Townhouse, Islington

A full interior refurbishment of a late 18th-century Georgian townhouse in Islington, reimagined through warm colour, sculptural form and layered materiality. Recently featured in Homes & Gardens, this project reflects our emotionally attuned approach to interior architecture.

Working within the proportions and detailing of the original Georgian architecture, we introduced contemporary furniture and joinery within a palette of rich, tonal hues and natural materials to bring warmth and softness to a previously grey and neutral space.

The project included new bathrooms, kitchen, joinery and finishes as well as full FF&E design. We created each space to feel serene yet grounded - a home for slow mornings, intimate gatherings and everyday ritual.

Rather than returning the house to a historical pastiche, the intention was to create something modern yet deeply rooted to suit the owners background and tastes. Original shutters and cornicing were maintained, while bespoke joinery, sculptural furniture and carefully sourced pieces added depth and story.

Throughout the house, layers of pippy oak, bouclé, marble and hand-selected artworks create a dialogue between restraint and expression. The result is an interior that feels composed, tactile and enduring.
